We love finding new routes--especially those that by-pass large cities, such as Salt Lake City! Traveling to Heber City from Fort Bridger fit that bill! Here is our route: View Larger Map We shall slip down through Provo Canyon tomorrow catching up with I-15 to continue our journey. Mountains to our west have peaks as high as 11,750, with many ranging from 9000 to near that of Mt. Timpanogos at 11,750. To the east the peaks range from 9000 to 10,500. With the recent weather, you can see white clinging to the peaks--when the clouds clear enough to see past them! We do enjoy the mountains! There is an Alpine Loop around Mt. Timpanogos to Timpanogos Cave National Monument that we just had to take! View Larger Map The weather was beautiful, allowing full view of Mother Nature's Fall Fashion Show! Two miles in on Utah 92 we passed Sundance. We tried our best to spot Robert, but had no luck. The road after Sundance became interesting! Just how we remembered it from about 40 y

Our routes we took exploring .... View Larger Map No, we were NOT drinking while wandering in Wyoming! We just found much to see and do, and you'll see that we still have more "ground" to cover! We did enjoy our meanderings in this state! We spent just under three weeks here, September 4 through the 24! Readers of this blog will recognize the necessity of the Riders visiting Forts:  Fort Bridger, Fort Reno, Fort Phil Kearney....! We geocached. We followed bits and pieces of the Bozeman Trail, and saw the ruts of the Oregon Trail, and LOTS of horses! Fort Reno, south of Fort Phil Kearney, along the Bozeman Trail Bozeman Trail! Of course we had to drive north from Buffalo to Fort Phil Kearny, then south to Fort Reno through Kaycee. From Kaycee, we headed  east and north again, returning to Buffalo. It was in Kaycee that we discovered a tribute to the 1976 World's Bareback Champion, Chris Ledoux , who, after achieving the Bareback

Fall! Terrific! Glorious! Crisp! Fantastic! Remarkable! Wonderful! Super! Incredible! Driving into Yellowstone National Park last Friday was a grand experience for us! Sylvan Pass-- East Entrance to Yellowstone Yellowstone Lake The Obstacle!  Slowly ambling ... Right down the  Middle of the  Road! Excuse me,   I'll be moving on....! What a riot! Mike was driving, and had decided NOT to hit the horn! She even pulled over to the side, behind the red car, just to give the guy some room even tho' we were bigger than he!!  He finally got on the side, and the traffic that he had stopped moved once again....! What fun it was to drive slowly through Yellowstone! Our last time was in mid May, 6 years ago, and this is what we saw: Yellowstone, 5-16-2008 We stopped along side Yellowstone Lake heading south to enjoy the view. Are you noticing the colors?! Lunch stop--taking it all in! We continued south, exiting Yellowstone,
