Valley Camp In June (Really beautiful in the sun!)
Look! The snow is almost gone from the mountains!
Understand local strawberries might be available by the 4th of July....It is reported that this spring in North West Washington is one of the top 5 coldest...We can attest to that, but we prefer the coolness here to the heat and humidity of the mid west and south east...!
You can see that we do indeed have this facility all to ourselves! We understand this weekend there will be several campers coming in for a ham radio session.
This is an excellent facility, for individual rigs, and groups, should any readers be in the Pacific Northwest and need a spot to stay a night or two while traveling through; or want to have a group get-together, or just want to spend some time enjoying the view!
The covered group area is visible in this picture, as well as the large antenna used for their radio sessions.
Rupert loves it, you'll note!
This little path (can you see the plank across the creek in the picture?) is right behind our motor home. There are several trails out into the "dark woods" from the open upper meadow.
No, we have not seen any bears, and we hope NOT to!!! But, as you might conclude, we really are enjoying our time here.
Later! Paws and Friends
