Paws and Friends

I drafted this post on my reunion journey traveling to and from Aurora, Illinois October 2017 on April 18, 2018. I'm posting it now. I am working on "catching up" on posts, as we continue enjoying our experiences traveling in our home on wheels with our two special Corgis. Here is Lindy's Road Trip to Aurora University, Class of 1967 Reunion - Part 1.  Waaay back in January, 2017, I began planning on a road trip to Aurora, Illinois. Fifty four years ago, I, and two others from teeny tiny Colton, Oregon traveled to Aurora to attend college , and graduated June, 1967. Instead of flying back for the 50th, I planned a road trip where I could visit friends along the way:  stopping in Gallup, NM and Dubuque, Iowa. I also squeezed in a short visit to a Presidential Library along the way! US 30, Lincoln Highway, and DAIRY QUEEN! Lindy's Road Trip to Aurora University, Class of 1967 Reunion - Part II .  Lindy graduated from Aurora College (now University) June 5, 1967. She planned to drive to Aurora, following as much as possible US Highway 30. She stopped along the way to visit friends and special sites, such as the Eisenhower Library! Here are her observations and thoughts on the last day of travel to Aurora finalized from a draft written April 20, 2018.  My last day of the trip I purposefully planned travel along old US 30, the same route taken 50 plus years ago as we (Carol Ann Ryan Brandenburger and I) traveled from home in Oregon to Aurora. Currently in North Little Rock, on the Arkansas River (No lights on our bridge last night! Drat! Let's hope we have them tonight!) After a very warm day (for us!) at 88 yesterday, with high humidity, and low of 60... Today we had a high of 73, with a low of 53     Currently, at 4:30 CDT, 68. Cloudy, 61% humidity People talk a lot about passion, but what is it really? Is it a belief, a very strong belief? Is it a mind set? If you really enjoy your job, it can be said that you are passionate. We appreciate careful attention to detail by those providing us with customer service. Are they passionate about their job? Aurora University (Lindy's alma mater) came out with the statement: Discover what matters. Then build your life around it. Doesn't that describe what we do with/in our lives?
