Out Our Window....

Currently in East Glacier KOA  84 degrees (feels like 82!) High  85   Low 56   Partly Cloudy--VERY Smokey! Our last post described the slackening of the Reynolds Creek Fire along St. Mary Lake in East Glacier. We had a few very nice days of no smoke and glorious weather, even if we had to have some heat in the mornings! We are introducing a new "series" of posts describing what we see out of our window, for as we travel, we are constantly changing our "yard".  We will share these views with you! So, here we go--the last post ended with this shot out our window: (remember, click on the picture to make it larger) Monday morning, about 10 AM This is what we are seeing out our window now. Fires a' Burning!

Today--storms over the fire   Currently in East Glacier/St. Mary, MT    54 Degrees High  66      Low 46   Radar Map this morning... Yea! Moisture on the East Glacier fire, and look! Even an icy mix up in the mountains! Yep! We have the fire place going! Makes it cozy! We celebrate the cool weather and the rain! We have been loving our time here in Glacier, in spite of the fire, which made its presence known when we first arrived! We had second thoughts about coming here. It was warm those first few days, so keeping the motorhome closed up with the AC running was a good thing, but going outside for any reason one "hit" that acrid smoke smell. Friday, July 31, on our way to East Glacier Monday, August 3 By Tuesday of this week the smoke lessened as the fire was being contained. We were glad we stuck it out, for the views from our site View out the dining room window are tremendous, and we have thoroughly enjoyed our explorations here,
