"PHAET"on Intervened

The Rest of the story--Roof Repair Part 2:  We did research while at the dealer doing the roof repair on FRED, a good thing to do, right? We had no intention of purchasing a new rig--just gathering information so we could be informed... We looked on Monday (August 1) and liked what we saw, putting the information into "storage" for two to three years later. Thursday, when we came to pick up FRED, we were asked if we wanted to go for a drive. We said yes, for we needed that piece of research--we had never driven/ridden in a diesel pusher. That did it for both of us! So, that 2012 Phaeton is now ours! It also has an oven, in addition to the microwave/convection oven, which helped seal the deal for the cook (NOT Lindy!).

We carefully drove FRED back to Valley Camp that afternoon, August 4th, returning--again very carefully--August 16 to complete the trade. It took us two days to complete the transfer of items from FRED to our new coach! The morning of August 18, we drove our new coach back to Valley Camp.

Did we mention that it has a washer and dryer?! This make full timing much easier! We no longer need  laundromats! And, we no longer need to stash quarters! We love the awnings over the door and the windows, the inverter, the residential fridge--EVERYTHING about our new coach!

We are wrapping up our stay at beautiful Valley Camp. Do you remember our earlier pictures with the snow still on the mountain?! We have experienced sun for the past few days, with temperatures in the high 70's, low 80's. This Thursday we will be heading south to Arizona through Oregon, northern California, across Nevada into Utah then Arizona.

We are still Paws and Friends, but no longer traveling with FRED. We are just traveling, in our new coach, enjoying it very much!

Until next time!

Paws and Friends, Swirvin down the road!

  2. When will you be in AZ? I am trying to get down for a week in October. Hope that we'll be able to connect, even if only for a short time. I'd love for you to meet the grand-babies!
