Remember last September--our stay in Buffalo, WY...?  Well, something about us, perhaps that campground, and/or something else--we do not know!
We have been throughout this trip watching the weather.

So during our stay at Buffalo things were looking A-OK.... Well, midnight Thursday (Friday morning?) we were rudely awakened by several loud crashes of thunder followed by lightening....then RAIN, with more thunder crashes and lightening flashes....! We checked the Power Control System, and yes, power was out....!

The only difference between this visit and the one last September was the temperature! There was no snow this time! Oh, and the time was different....! We were okay with our battery/inverter system--no need to run the generator; as we kept checking the system every 30 minutes or so.... Really good for a good night's sleep, right? About 2 AM, we heard the power kick back on, so we were able to relax some.

However, the 5th wheel next to us had started his generator at midnight, and by 2:30 or so, the exhaust, even with our windows closed, was getting to us. And, we were wondering about them, as well--really! So Mike went next door, knocked on their door to tell them the power was back on. She woke them up, and he immediately shut off their generator.

Is their something working here--some kind of jinx on us staying in Buffalo...?!

Needless to say, we did enjoy our couple of days there, and the storm did not knock down any trees, lightening did not strike us nor trees near us, and we were comfortable in our cozy home. Rupert did not enjoy it, however. He spent much of the next day sleeping. He does need his beauty sleep! When you examine the recent picture of our site, it looks rather pleasant! We are laughing at the situation!

We depart tomorrow for Great Falls, the last leg before we travel to East Glacier KOA. We have received word from the KOA that they have been cleared for guests as of 8 AM this morning, so our reservations starting this Friday should be "good to go!"

Later!
Roving Riders SWIRVIN on down the road in Big Sky Country!
