Currently at Oasis Las Vegas RV Resort 58 degrees
High 74 Low 60 Partly Cloudy (translation--MOSTLY SUNNY, compared to Oregon Coast use!)
Data has refreshed! Lindy has learned a very valuable lesson regarding settings on using Netflex, to conserve data usage....we hope!
While at Bend-Sisters Garden RV Resort we saw the Lunar Eclipse. And, NO RAIN!

Moving on down the road we stayed a couple of nights at one of our favorite spots, Burns RV Park. We love small towns, and

Burns, Oregon fits the bill nicely. This RV park is nicely maintained, the sites are long and wide, and come with cable TV, although they do have sites which are satellite friendly, which we requested. We always enjoy our time in this part of Oregon! And look, NO RAIN!

We found a new park in Winnamucca on
Allstays (an excellent app
for tablets and I Pad users!), New Frontier RV Park. Roads are paved with sites soon to be, surrounded by gravel. Young trees have been planted which will provide good shade. We tied up once again for a couple of days, just chillin' and readin'! After all, we can!
Do you see the clouds...? Yep! Once again, we connected with "rain", which followed us as we left and much of the way from Battle Mountain down to US 50--billed as the Loneliest Road. Gave us more time to learn how the windshield wipers worked! Mike had the early practice, she taught Lindy how to use them!
Once again we are in familiar territory, having traveled US 50 many times over the years. It is one of our favorite routes. You climb mountain passes, descend into a valley, then ascend another mountain pass, descend into another valley--beautiful landscape (in our opinion!). Lindy remembers stories her mom told of driving to Reno from Ely via this route in the late 20's, early 30's, having to drive through sand dunes, mud areas, etc....! Challenges one will NOT find on this road today! US 50 is the Old Lincoln Highway, as well as the route the Pony Express followed, for the most part. A few things that make it enjoyable for the Riders!
By the time we got to Ely KOA to tie up for the night, there was no

rain, but the temps were in the mid 50's! We kept telling ourselves to enjoy the coolness--for where we are headed, the temps still are in the mid 80's!

We arrived in Vegas to temperatures in the mid 80's--the first day!

Then, the rains came!!! Our phones screamed a siren-like sound last night with an alert of a flash flood warning for downtown Vegas! Our park is just east of I-15, south of the 215 beltway, and has good paved roads and pads, allowing for excellent channeling of the rain. We are enjoying the coolness!!! Lindy's cousin thanks us for bringing rain! And after we depart tomorrow, temperatures will be back up in the mid 90's...
Later!
Roving Riders SWIRVIN on down to Prescott Valley!
Great views out your window for sure
