Out our Window-- Spring 2017

April 13:  The Riders departed for points north by north west!
  • Las Vegas, NV
  • Ely, NV
  • Sparks, NV
  • Lakeview, OR
  • Canyonville, OR
  • Eugene, OR......(Lincoln City, OR and North Bend, WA to follow)
Of course we had snow in Ely! Sparks was good, snow at Tahoe which changed our sightseeing! We made it from Lakeview over the pass to I-5 to Canyonville before a snow storm, so the weather gods were gentle with us! Remember, you can click on a picture to make it larger.
Ely - Snow! Not as much as last year, tho'.
Truckee River, east of Sparks at flood stage!

Truckee River, at Marble Bluff Dam, flowing into Pyramid Lake
Maddie LOVES that her truck travels with the motor home!
Yep! A little snow on Reno side of Tahoe!
South of Incline Village.... Snow on the mountains!
We geocached, especially around Lakeview. Going around Upper Klamath Lake we enjoyed lunch sitting in the rig right by the lake (see pictures below). How many tow trucks does it take to remove a semi from a lake?
The "Tallest" city in Oregon!
Junipers Reservoir opens up May 1--can you guess why?!
After eating our lunch, we were able to drive by the tractor nose-first in the lake.....
Snow on pass heading west to I-5.
What we saw "out our window" at Seven Feathers, Canyonville!
Maddie was nervous, as her home on wheels began moving on those wheels, a very new experience for her! During the "long" days, we tried to stop often, where the rig would be off (no noise!), and she had an opportunity to walk around. The non-driver would sit with her on the couch, letting her know all was right with the world. Entering Oregon, our days shortened a lot (100 mile days!), and she seems to be settling down some. We are hoping she gets used to it!

Currently, we are in Eugene, at one of five Premier RV Resorts. After some rain, the weather has turned glorious, with temps in the high 70's, mid 80's, going back down to mid 60's. We head for Lincoln City Thursday.
Sunrise, Premier RV, Eugene.
"After Sunrise..."
And why do we have a pickup instead of our jeep?  You will have to wait!

Later! The Riders, soon to be SWIRVIN on down the road! Until then, here are two of the Riders, enjoying their home on wheels...!
