Goodbye Fall! Welcome the Next--Happy Holidays!

It is time to change the title picture of our blog! After all, the leaves are mostly gone, and it even is a bit chilly in the mornings! But that does not stop us from exploring this beautiful desert area, as you will note from our last entry. And, we have already had "our winter!" Remember Buffalo, WY?

We experienced a beautiful fall! We saw the changing aspens around Heber City, UT, and enjoyed the changing colors here at North Ranch. Now the leaves are gone. Time to move on!

Buffalo, WY mid September  "Our Winter!"

The new "title" picture is another view from our buggy rides out in the "outback" of North Ranch!

Here is the "retired" view from the top of Round Mountain, out in the "outback" to the south east of us. You know from our previous entries that we do not just sit around! The three Roving Riders, Rupert and his humans, went on a ride to Round Mountain with North Ranch Outdoors. We understood the path up the mountain was a little "dicey" but that we had the option to wait at the bottom while those who wanted to make the 20 minute or so drive could. Half way up the hill, Mike, who was driving, said "I think we are driving up....!"  It really wasn't too bad. We discovered that indeed, we are proficient UTV drivers!

It is views like this, the mountains and Vulture Peak in the distance, that remind us why we are in this desert country this time of year. There is an unspoken beauty in the desert, a theme you will find in our posts as we go out and about.

We hope you agree, the view is tremendous! This is why we are here! This country offers so much--all we have to do is get out in it!

Rupert LOVED it!

We hope you are enjoying the season comfortably, wherever you might be, for personal comfort and inner joy are the essential ingredients for happiness--our wish to you this season!

Happy Holidays!
