Javelina Sighting, Fred and Ginger...Just Stuff!

Sunrise at Freightliner- Tollenson, AZ
Haven't heard from us in a while, have you? Well, let me tell you--The Riders have been busy doing "stuff!" Stuff like taking the rig into Tollenson (Phoenix) for its yearly service, going down one day, returning the next.

The Riders have adopted two common areas (green spaces at the end of our street and the one to our north). This required trimming the cactus (we decided we'd rather work with the wild blackberries of the Pacific Northwest than cactus!), weeding, raking the area so that it looks "nice".  Mike bought some pots, and installed them properly in the area. We think it looks pretty nice! We enjoy the activity--gets us out working "in the yard"! Of course all the trimming required a way to get rid of the trimmings, so we hooked up the utility trailer and hauled it to the transfer yard. Fortunately, there is free yard waste until the end of December.

Privacy fence
Then we are having a privacy fence and patio pavers put in. The privacy fence is in, looking very nice! The pavers will come Monday. They have asked us to move our rig, allowing them better access by backing in their trailer with all the necessary putting in pavers stuff right there. By doing so, they should be able to finish the job in one day. We, of course, are not excited about the prospect--but if it means the job can be finished quickly, and the coach will be far removed from possible damage, we will do so. We will pile stuff on the bed! We have to tell you that the fellow asked if we could just pull it out--slides out, and park it in the street....! Ummmm, suppose he RVs much?

The lot next to us is empty, so we asked the couple across the street if we could park there for the day. Of course they said yes. No need for us to hook it up--we'll just pull it out, then back it in next door, pulling out the two living room slides for the day.

We are excited about getting the patio! It means we can roll the grill around where we want it! The patio heater can be used where it is most needed! We do have wheels for the umbrella stand, but not sure we want to put those on. The stand is very heavy when all the sand is in there, so likely once the umbrella stand is "put"--that is here it will stay!

Just a couple of days ago we went out west of North Ranch to Saguaro Hill, to see "Fred and Ginger" dancing!

Going under the railroad tracks...
Look! A javelina!

On the way, we saw a Javelina! Now Lindy thinks she saw two--but of course we have no pictures, and the operative word is "thinks"....! They did run very quickly when they heard us!

We rode out with a friend in the park (from Rice, Minnesota) who names saguaro--and she has named these two as "Fred and Ginger". We will let you decide....
Fred and Ginger!

Shall we dance?

Why, yes, of course!
What a dance!

Do you "see" them dancing?

Saguaro Hill, where we found Fred and Ginger, is appropriately named, as you'll see the Saguaro marching up the hill! It was a great short ride, with the added bonus of being the one "Where We Saw the Javelina!"

Hope you enjoyed your visit!
Later!

Roving Riders, just SWIRVIN around!
