What's Wrong with These Pictures?

The picture on the left  is on the driver's side, between the couch and Lindy's chair. Hanging from the light is a LED flashlight. Just below that, and to the left is one of our light panels....

The picture on the right is in the kitchen, to the right of the sink, on the wall by the refrigerator.

This on the left might be hard to read, but it is the light panel at the front of the coach, by the door.

On the right is the light panel from the hallway right outside the bedroom door.

Have you figured out what might be the problem....?

Let me  give you a clue....These light panels are controlled by Spyder Controls--allowing for all kinds of "cool" stuff--dimming some lights, allowing for control of  lights from more than one area...and so on.

We experienced a problem when the lights went out...! Of course we began trouble shooting--checking the breakers--finding nothing, then scratching our heads, finally calling Tiffin! At this time, ALL light panels were dark. We were given the phone number and name of Spyder Controls. We called. A very helpful tech talked Mike through about two hours of trouble shooting, resulting in identifying the two panels causing the problem, unplugging them from the control panel, then plugging in the others so we could have some lights...!

Kitchen area--with lantern....

Light panel in hallway outside bedroom
This was after unloading one half of the closet--piling up the clothes on the bed; with Mike bending over the box on the floor of the closet between, trying to hold the flashlight, keep her glasses on her face so she could see leaning over into the box, as she located the various wires to unplug, then carefully plug back in so as to locate the offending ones, which she left NOT plugged in!

She experienced success! So we have been operating without lights in the kitchen and living room area, and the shades in the living room, until we can get the coach in to a service facility for repair. We have a desk lamp, and a battery operated lantern which has shed light on the dark kitchen work space. We do have three LEDs right in the middle of the ceiling in the living area. Fortunately, all other electrical items are working:  the fireplace which has been stellar in taking the early morning chill off, the hot water/furnace systems, and the door locks....  Having an all electric coach has its advantages--and concurrently, its disadvantages!

Did you arrive at the correct answer?! We are enjoying our new, all-electric coach. We have discovered the helpfullness of techs from both Tiffin and Spyder Controls. We knew, however, that Tiffin would be helpful. A major reason why we stay with the Tiffin Brand.

There are always issues with "homes"--repairs that must be done. Along with these repairs comes challenges:  whether in a sticks and bricks home or a home with wheels. We roll with the flow...!

We are currently enjoying some time near Joshua Tree National Park, and will leave a couple of days early to head over to Apache Junction on Thursday, the 28, for service on this issue, along with our list of warranty items to be addressed.

More will follow from Joshua Tree National Park, as well as "catching up" info from our recent activities at North Ranch. We have not been idle. Just lazy regarding blogging.

Let's leave you with this: recent sunrise over North Ranch...

Later!

Roving Riders SWIRVIN on down the road!
