Red-Shouldered Hawks in Connecticut

To the right are the young hawks in the tree right out side our window at our site in Thomaston, CT. The owners said that there were two babies that hatched...so we are guessing that in this picture there are the two young ones not willing to fly just yet, along with a parent trying to encourage them to take off and fly!

When we pulled out the next morning, we saw one still in the tree....either one had taken the plunge, or jumped to a branch of the tree out of our line of site!

It was fun to watch!
