We celebrated Wyoming! Mountains and coolness--well, coolness when we reached western Wyoming! It was still hot in Rawlins. We experienced a brown-out in the campground as it was full, and all were running A/Cs. We did explore the Territorial Prison in town where dogs were welcome. Bitty let it be known to the tour guide to move it along, when things got slow! We enjoyed the visit and bit of Wyoming history.

The "jewel" was Fort Bridger RV Camp, in Fort Bridger, WY, just east of Evanston. It is a Good Sam Park, with long grassy sites adjacent to
Fort Bridger State Park. We stayed one night, but were there early enough to walk to the State Park which we thoroughly enjoyed (more of that history!). We have "marked" this location as a "return" site! The campground is clean and neat, inexpensive, 3 miles from the freeway, with lots to explore in that area!

We were able to completely avoid Salt Lake City, taking I-80, then I-84 north, where we stayed at another nice campground, Golden Spike RV Park, Brigham City, UT. Traveling through this area from Gallup to Oregon/Washington 35 years summer and winter; we have always said we need to visit Golden Spike! One day, we shall, staying at Golden Spike RV Park! (No! We didn't visit this time! Remember: Oregon or Bust!)
We love going off the freeway, when possible, and Hagerman RV Village in Hagerman, ID on old US 30 was perfect! This park is pleasant, good hookups, clean sites: nice!
We discovered another nice campground and other treasures in the small town of Vale, OR, where we went totally off the freeway system.
Vale Trails RV Park was rustic, but clean, neat--very pleasant! We enjoyed the murals around the town as well!

On to Burns RV Park in Burns, OR for another of our favorite campgrounds, nice spacious sites with grass! Then to Bend/Sisters Garden RV Resort before settling in at Silver Spur RV Park (a Passport America park!) and for Lindy's 50th high school reunion! More on that in a later blog!
Thanks to those of you who have been patient with us in our blogging. We are currently in Valley Camp, North Bend, WA, and will be talking about the events from August 11 to the present in a later blog. Your comments are appreciated and provide encouragement to keep on blogging!
We look forward to your postings so keep em coming
