AZ Cactus Corgi Carnival

Before we adopted Corgis, we saw very few of them. Friends of ours in Gallup had one. Their son and his wife had two. So went our first meeting of Corgis and we liked what we found. We started full-timing with two big dogs. We did talk of "downsizing"--when that time came..... Our dear friends gave us a Corgi Calendar, to use as a "Sears Catalog" in helping us make that decision....! Well, you already know the ending to this story! But, how many Corgis have you seen at one time? Read on!

The Arizona Cactus Corgi Rescue sponsored a Corgi Carnival November 10, as a fund raiser for the
The Ring Master, Vicki C, director of AZCCR chatting at the Carnival
rescue. The Paws and Friends of Roving Riders had a blast, as well as all the attendees! There were all sorts of games for the participants:  Cake Walk: prize each for dogs AND their people, Bobbing for Hot Dogs, Get a Duck (each had a dollop of peanut butter on their heads), Get the Toy, Corgi Kisses, Special Picture booth, and all sorts of items for bidding on with tickets!

The weather cooperated nicely with blue skies, sun and a slight breeze. It did get warm when one stayed in the sun too long, but fortunately there were several sun shade awnings for the booths, and trees around the perimeter where chairs could be set out for "resting" after too much fun was had!
Bitty at the "Get a Duck" booth...

She succeeded! She got her squeaky! Notice it is pink....!
Rupert is "brain boring" his duck....

With help, he was successful!
Bitty's favorite--bobbing for hot dogs! She has one...

Now another.....

Rupert got into it with one....

Bitty is going after another.....

Rupert--trying to "brain bore" again...?! Bitty has another....

Both have one here! With a very curious watcher....!

Oh! They taste SO GOOD!
Look! A treat under a cup! Right here!

Where is the treat? Not under this one.....!
Rupert is glad to see the Ring Master!

Okay, I have to get it.....

Like this!
Bitty paid no attention to this game....!
Meeting new friends--but also taking care of HER needs!

Let's see if I can splash it around some......

Sights Around the Carnival.....

Corgis and Corgi friends...!

Rupert with some of his buds:  Corgi puppies!

More of the Sights....

Rupert enjoyed meeting new friends! He did NOT want to leave!

Mike is in the middle, holding Rupert. Bitty does not like crowds, and is sitting by Mike with her back to everything.....

Know this is hard to see--but does show the number of Corgis....!

Ring Master, and Rupert--plus LOTS of others!

What a FUN time!
Bitty was one happy dog!
Bitty enjoyed herself, in her way. Rupert kept taking Mike for a walk:  back towards all the happenings! He did not have to  do anything, other than take Mike back to the Carnival area. He did NOT want to leave!

So, how many Corgis did you see?!

Here is a facebook link to some other pictures from the carnival.

Before you go, consider voting for the AZ Cactus Corgi Rescue on the Shelter Challenge. Vote each day from now to December 22! Thanks! Here is the facebook link.

Paws and Friends of the Roving Riders! Later!
