At North Ranch - 77 degrees, partly cloudy High 77   Low  60 Have we mentioned the fact that we seem to be attracting storms on our journeys this summer...? This is what we saw out our window in Winnemmuca, NV. New Frontier RV Park Clouds were with us down to Ely, providing excellent opportunities for pictures and lower temperatures but no rain! Currently at Oasis Las Vegas RV Resort  58 degrees High  74   Low 60   Partly Cloudy (translation--MOSTLY SUNNY, compared to Oregon Coast use!) Data has refreshed! Lindy has learned a very valuable lesson regarding settings on using Netflex, to conserve data usage....we hope! While at Bend-Sisters Garden RV Resort we saw the Lunar Eclipse. And, NO RAIN! Lunar Eclipse  Moving on down the road we stayed a couple of nights at one of our favorite spots, Burns RV Park. We love small towns, and Burns RV Park, Burns, OR Burns, Oregon fits the bill nicely. This RV park is nicely maintained, the sites are long and wide, and come with cable TV, although they do have sites which are satellite friendly, which we requested.  We always enjoy our time in this part of Oregon! Blog updates have been limited by Lindy's lesson learned the hard way regarding Netflex settings and some of our new equipment--enabling streaming through the Blu-Ray player....More on that later (when data refreshes!). Currently in East Glacier KOA  84 degrees (feels like 82!) High  85   Low 56   Partly Cloudy--VERY Smokey! Our last post described the slackening of the Reynolds Creek Fire along St. Mary Lake in East Glacier. We had a few very nice days of no smoke and glorious weather, even if we had to have some heat in the mornings! We are introducing a new "series" of posts describing what we see out of our window, for as we travel, we are constantly changing our "yard".  We will share these views with you! Today--storms over the fire   Currently in East Glacier/St. Mary, MT    54 Degrees High  66      Low 46   Radar Map this morning... Yea! Moisture on the East Glacier fire, and look! Even an icy mix up in the mountains! Yep! We have the fire place going! Makes it cozy! We celebrate the cool weather and the rain! We have been loving our time here in Glacier, in spite of the fire, which made its presence known when we first arrived! We had second thoughts about coming here. It was warm those first few days, so keeping the motorhome closed up with the AC running was a good thing, but going outside for any reason one "hit" that acrid smoke smell. Currently in Columbus, MT (home of Montana Silversmiths!) High 93   Low  54   Currently 78 Cloudy, scattered thunderstorms tonight.... Deer Park Campground, Buffalo, WY 9/2014 Remember last September --our stay in Buffalo, WY...?  Well, something about us, perhaps that campground, and/or something else--we do not know! We have been throughout this trip watching the weather. Deer Park Campground, Buffalo, WY 7/2015 So during our stay at Buffalo things were looking A-OK.... Well, midnight Thursday (Friday morning?) we were rudely awakened by several loud crashes of thunder followed by lightening....then RAIN, with more thunder crashes and lightening flashes....! We checked the Power Control System, and yes, power was out....! The only difference between this visit and the one last September was the temperature! There was no snow this time! Oh, and the time was different....! We were okay with our battery/inverter system--no need to run the generato...

Currently at the Rafter Jar Bar Ranch 71 degrees, mostly cloudy  Low 57 80% chance of rain--thunderstorms during the evening We have had interesting weather this trip! We left Cape Girardeau, MO early to "get ahead" of a rain storm, only to have rain follow us, it seems, throughout our travels and stay in Illinois and on! We experienced our first tornado siren at the Sioux Falls KOA, about 1 AM, in the pouring down rain... We had been watching the severe weather approaching, so before we went to bed pulled in all but one of the slides, had our "to-go" bag out, and raincoats....so piled out of bed, gathered up the very sleepy dog, and followed the crowd to the nearest bathroom, even tho' we had read the park brochure which stated that the "reinforced steel pavilion was the structure to go to in a storm."
