3/4 inch Finishing Screw -- Zero / Mighty Michelin Tire -- Won, er One!

Currently in North Little Rock, Arkansas  -- Downtown Riverside RV Park
59 degrees, light rain     "low" tonight  - 63  (yep! warmer than now)
Thunderstorms--some may contain locally heavy rain, especially this evening. A few storms may be severe. Low 63. Winds SSE at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 100%. Rainfall near an inch.

Fortunately, the rain held off some when the tire guys came! Here is what we found:

You get the picture! The "nail" in the front passenger side tire was a 3/4 inch finishing screw, and
when the tech pulled it out, nothing happened! David, from Ozarko Tire Centers, Inc., said that it may have been embedded in the rubber, but had not punctured the tire because of the construction of the tire....  And we shall leave it at that!  As we said in our earlier post, we have not lost any air pressure, thankfully, and our tires are in good shape still! We are good to go!

We certainly have learned a lot regarding our tires, our Safe-Guard Tire Warranty, and the FMCA Michelin Advantage Program. Lindy downloaded several pieces on both the Advantage Program and the new 275/80R22.5 LRH XMEZ --multi energy Z....."Z" meaning good for any position on a vehicle (drive or steer)! Just what you wanted to know, right?!

One thing we know for sure, Ozarko Tire Centers, Inc., in North Little Rock, AR is a super place! Donnie Naquin, Manager, and David the tech drove out to the Downtown Riverside Park in the pouring rain, checked out the tire, removed the finishing screw, checked all the tires, and gave us the "good to go" sign! Super good place! When we do need tires, North Little Rock, here we come!

If you are traveling through the Little Rock area and are in need of tire service, give them a call!

And we shall stay again at the Downtown Riverside RV Park, a city park on the banks of the Arkansas River just across from the William J. Clinton Presidential Center and Park. There is an old railway bridge right outside our windows across the river to the Clinton Presidential Center and Park. Guess what? There are LED lights on the bridge (and two others) and a terrific light show is put on every hour in the early evening for about five minutes or so. The lights are on from dusk to dawn, with the light shows on the hour adding to the excitement!

The Clinton Park Bridge leading to the Clinton Presidential Center
The lighting of these pedestrian bridges is all thanks to a gift from Entergy Arkansas and the Entergy Charitable Foundation. In addition to Entergy, the cities of Little Rock & North Little Rock, the Clinton Foundation, the Pulaski County Junction Bridge Authority, Philips Lighting Company and Koontz Electric invested in the $2.4 million project.

The lights were terrific! We hope the pictures do them justice. And this morning the river was like glass, providing an excellent mirror for the lights! Check out these links for more information!
